Event Updates
Pitching Rules
This tournament will use the standard USSSA national pitching rules for a 3 day tournament.
9u-12u - 8 Max for tournament, 6 max in one day, if pitch more than 3 innings in one day, pitcher cannot pitch next day
13u-14u - 8 Max for tournament, 7 max in one day, if pitch more than 3 innings in one day, pitcher cannot pitch next day
Examples:
Pitch 4 on Saturday, can’t pitch Sunday. Is eligible to pitch 4 innings on Monday for a total of 8 for the tournament
Pitch 3 on Saturday, pitch 2 on Sunday. Is eligible to pitch up to 3 on Monday.
Pitch 2 on Saturday, pitch 4 on Sunday, ineligible to pitch on Monday.
Portable Mounds - NO METAL CLEATS
Portable pitching mounds will be used for the following divisons on the following fields for this tournament. NO METAL CLEATS are to be used by pitchers while on portable mounds. No metal cleats are to be used by players in the 9u-12u divisons.
14 Open - Long Lake 1,5
14AA - Pioneer 1,2, Long Lake 5
13 Majors - SAC 5/6, Lutz 4
13AAA - Lutz 1,2
13AA - Ray Ross 1,2,3, Lutz 2
12 Open - Long Lake 2,3,4
11 Open - Lutz 5,8, Long Lake 3
10 Open - Lutz 3,6,7
Event Format
Event format as follows:
4 game guarantee (weather permitting)
2 pool play games on Saturday, 2 pool play games on Sunday. The top 4-6 teams based on standings after pool play games will advance to the championship bracket on Monday
Tournament format is subject to change based on any weather that cancels games
Refund Policy
If 3 or more games have started - No refund
If 2 games have started - 30% of entry fee is refunded
If 1 game has started - 60% of entry fee is refunded
If no games are played - Entry fee refunded minus $100 administration fee
There will be no refunds or transfers given to teams that drop out of the event after the schedule is released.
If weather cancels games, alternative tournament format is possible. No awards given unless there is completion of bracket play
